“That was unfortunate. That was kind of an exchange with our fans out in front of us,” Jones stated during a Tuesday interview. “There was a swarm of Dallas supporters—not New York fans, Cowboys fans. The entire stadium was brimming with excitement for the Dallas team.”
He further emphasized that the signal was entirely accidental, occurring amid the excitement following the team’s last score. “I just showed the incorrect finger,” he noted. “The action was accidentally done. This is sincere. If you want to call it accidental, you can. But it got resolved pretty quick.”
